Number 8 Wireless
is a guitar-driven four piece from Wellington. The band creates accessible,
well-constructed music – including hard rock, catchy pop and a solid
dose of reggae and funk.
Cut the Cord – the
band’s debut EP – was released in 2019. Our five tracks show great diversity, combine genuine musicality and song-writing talent along with world-class music production. Mastered audio files, videos and more info about our first EP can be found here.
We decided to get in behind our local men’s and women’s A-League football teams - the Wellington Phoenix - by dedicating a song to them: Phoenix Rising. The teams love it and have embraced it as their anthem.

The band has also just released it's latest single called Total Transistor, a post apocalyptic sonic epic. This song is the first of a host of new tracks Number 8 Wireless will be releasing this year.
