We are Number 8 Wireless a hard-rocking four piece from Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington New Zealand.
We have been serving up all-original and distinctly-local sounds since our inception in 2012.

We deliver an array of guitar driven rock, funk and pop tunes that draw inspiration from diverse musical influences -
but in a way that is very much grounded in Aotearoa New Zealand and says something about Kiwis and our place in the world.

Number 8 Wireless are as passionate about sport as we are about music...almost. We decided to get in behind our local men’s and women’s A-League football teams - the Wellington Phoenix - by dedicating a song to them: Phoenix Rising. The teams love it and have embraced it as their anthem. Be prepared to hear Phoenix Rising at home A-League matches starting this season. From time to time we expect to be performing this live at games too. So learn the words above (or here) head along to the games and sing along with us!
